1. Organiser
Italian Web Gallery Worldwide is a design competition and showcase run by Mosaic (mosaic.business). Entry fees are collected and invoiced by Haydamax OÜ, registry code 17351554, Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@italianwebgallery.it.
2. Who can enter
2.1. Anyone aged 18 or over may enter, in their own name or on behalf of an organisation (studio, agency, company, freelancer). Student categories, where offered, are open to enrolled students and recent graduates (up to 2 years), proof may be requested.
2.2. Entrants register through Chakloon Passport on italianwebgallery.it. An organisation account is created at registration; every entry belongs to an organisation and lists its authors.
2.3. Members of the Italian Web Gallery Worldwide jury and Mosaic staff may enter, but never judge or vote on their own entries or entries of their organisation.
3. What can be entered
3.1. Eligible work: websites and interfaces. The work must be real and published (or, in concept categories, clearly marked as a concept), created or substantially updated within the period stated for the season.
3.2. Each entry includes: title, link (website, app store, video or file), description, category, authors and their roles, client (if any), year, country, and two images: a horizontal image shown on desktop and a vertical image shown on mobile, in the formats and sizes stated in the submission form.
3.3. Not accepted: work that infringes rights of others, unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content, malware, plagiarism, work generated entirely by AI without disclosure (where an AI category exists, AI work goes there), and entries with false information.
4. Fees
4.1. Entry fee: €35 per entry. Fees are shown before payment, charged in euros through Stripe and invoiced by Haydamax OÜ. VAT is not charged while Haydamax OÜ is not VAT-registered; this will be shown on the invoice.
4.2. Refunds: no refund; every entry receives scores and jury feedback. Fees for entries removed for breaching these rules are not refunded.
4.3. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU): by submitting an entry you ask us to start reviewing it immediately and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the review has been completed. Until the review starts you may withdraw the entry for a full refund.
5. Review, judging and voting
5.1. Every entry is moderated. We accept or decline it; a declined entry always receives the reason.
5.2. Accepted entries are assessed by a closed jury scoring design 40 %, usability 30 %, creativity 20 %, content 10 % (out of 10), using the criteria published for Italian Web Gallery Worldwide.
5.3. Where judging is blind, jurors do not see the authors, organisation or client. Jurors never assess their own work or work of their organisation; such conflicts are excluded automatically.
5.4. Votes count only from registered accounts with a confirmed email address. We may apply limits per account, device and network, delay votes from new accounts, and review unusual voting. Votes obtained by fake accounts, purchased votes, vote exchanges or automated means are removed, and the entry may be disqualified.
5.5. Decisions of the jury and of the organiser on eligibility and awards are final. We publish the reasons for disqualification to the entrant.
6. Awards
6.1. Awards: Coccarda (7.0+), Sito del Giorno, Top 15 del Mese, Sito dell'Anno, Made in Italy mark. Awards carry no cash prize unless stated for a specific season.
6.2. Winners receive a downloadable PDF certificate and may display the Italian Web Gallery Worldwide badge or ribbon on their website under the badge rules (badges-certificates.md).
6.3. Winners are invited to join the Italian Web Gallery Worldwide jury (see the Jury Code).
7. Rights in submitted work
7.1. You confirm that you own the work or have permission from all rights holders (including the client) to enter it, and that showing it on italianwebgallery.it does not infringe anyone's rights.
7.2. You keep all rights in your work. You grant Mosaic and Haydamax OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show the entry (images, title, description, credits, link) on italianwebgallery.it, in the Italian Web Gallery Worldwide newsletters and social media and in Mosaic publications, for promotion of the competition, for as long as the entry is published and for archival pages of past seasons.
7.3. You may ask us to remove an entry at any time; removal of an awarded entry also removes the award from the public pages.
8. Archive of past seasons
Italian Web Gallery Worldwide continues a design gallery that existed on italianwebgallery.it before. Pages of past years are shown as an archive with the names and links that were public at that time. Authors may ask for correction or removal at hello@italianwebgallery.it.
9. Liability
We do our best to run the competition fairly and keep the site available, but we are not liable for indirect losses, technical failures beyond our control, or for third-party links. Nothing in these rules limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes, law and disputes
10.1. We may change these rules for future seasons; changes do not affect entries already paid for.
10.2. These rules are governed by Estonian law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence. Disputes go to the courts of Harju County, Estonia, unless a consumer may sue at home. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
